Canyon Creek Kennels is a family owned and operated business located near
Canyon City, OR in the heart of eastern Oregon's upland bird country. Our 15 acre
facility is situated just off Highway 395. Our main focus is on the German Shorthaired
Pointer. Our goal is to create a bloodline that will be versatile enough to hunt any
species of game bird and still be a loyal and faithful companion. We have done
careful research in selecting our breeding stock for the ultimate in temperament,
personality, trainability, style, and, of course superiority in the field. We hunt all of our
dogs during upland bird seasons and train in the off-season. We are always on the
lookout for additions to our kennel that will help us to attain our goal of an affordable
ultimate hunting dog.
We also own a pair of Wirehaired Pointing Griffons who are also hunted and trained
year-round. Our stock comes from some of the best blood available, and it shows in
their hunting and personalities. Our Griffs have also been carefully selected for the
qualities that we feel are important in the field and as companions to their masters.
Our training services are available to our customers during the off-season, and we
invite you to give us a call to visit about anything related to our kennel that may
